PURPOSE
- To provide a safe comfortable setting for children to be children – socially, emotionally, physically and intellectually using Christian beliefs and principles.
- To provide opportunities for gross and fine motor skills through exercises, finger plays, puzzles, etc.
- To provide rhythm and music activities daily.
- To read a story each day incorporating literature for children and include a Bible story at least once a week focusing on Christian holidays when appropriate.
- To provide opportunities to use various mediums in creative art.
- To provide opportunities for children to make choices, sharing, caring, assuming responsibilities for simple age appropriate chores, self-care skills, respect and manners.
- Provide two-way conversation as children experience free play.
AGE
- A program for three, four and five year olds.
- Children must turn three before September 1
STAFFING
- A Teacher with a B.S. Degree in Elementary Education and/or Early Childhood Degree
- Full Time Co/Teacher
WHEN
- Morning classes are from 9:00 – 11:00 a. m. and afternoon classes are from 12:15 – 2:15 p. m.
- We follow the Halifax Area School District calendar regarding holidays and other days off
CLASSES:
- Classes for Four and Five Year Old Children are Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays
- Classes for Three Year Old Children are Tuesdays and Thursdays
