What Is Released Time?   
This important ministry is a religious education program sponsored by The Halifax Area Ministerium.  It is offered to all 4th and 5th graders at the Halifax Elementary School.  Our purpose is to teach the Christian faith through song, verse, prayer, and classroom lesson time.

When is the Program? 
The program begins in mid-September, and runs through March. There are nine Wednesday MORNING sessions during that time, beginning approximately 8:45 AM AND ENDING 11:15 AM.  There will also be a half-day picnic at Halifax Borough Park in May.

Where is the Program? 
The program is held at the Halifax United Methodist Church.  Adult volunteers escort the students on the walk to and from the elementary school.

What kind of help do you need? 
Volunteers are needed as classroom leaders and classroom assistants  If you want to help, we’ll find a place for you!  No experience is necessary, except a desire to share your Christian faith with kids from the Halifax area.  Training and curriculum materials are provided.
