TUESDAYS - Women's Bible Study:
"Beloved Disciple" (a study of John) by Beth Moore will be the topic of the Women's Bible Studies this winter. There are three sessions to choose from, all on Tuesdays: 10-12, 1-3, or 7-9. We will meet at the Millette home in Halifax. Call Debbie at 943-7230 to register or for more information.

Fall Bible Study - Part One: "Prayers of Jesus":
Beginning September 16 through October 21, the small group Bible Study entitled "The Prayers of Jesus" will be offered.  Co-facilitated by Trish Carle and Tamalyn Malpezzi, the first six weeks will explore the prayers of Jesus to gain new insights into prayer, the character of God, and how to deepen your relationship with Him.  Using a weekly DVD, maps and pictures, outlines, key Scripture verses, discussion questions, note taking, and a personal five-day Bible study for each session, participants will study together how to intimately communicate with God.  The second six weeks will focus on "The Miracles of Jesus", which will open your eyes to their impact on the lives He touched, what they reveal about God's heart, and their significance for us today.  Classes begin on Thursday evenings, 6:30 p.m. - 8:00 p.m. starting September 16. Contact the Church Office to reserve your seat as soon as possible.  It is not necessary to take "Prayers of Jesus" to participate in "Miracles of Jesus"; each six weeks stands alone. Women’s Bible Study: “Discerning the Voice of God”
8-week video study by Pricilla Shirer
Beginning Tuesday, September 14, 2010 - 10-12 a.m., 1-3 p.m. or 7-9 p.m. Choose the one that best fits your schedule.
Meeting Place: Millette home (at Camp Hebron) To Register or for more information: 717-943-7230 This Bible Study series includes a workbook for daily studies as well as a weekly video session which we will view together. Come join other women from our community as we encourage each other through friendship and Bible study.

WHAT’S  UP  WEDNESDAY

Fall is just around the corner.  Our Wednesday night meals and activities will resume on September 15.  Volunteers are needed to oversee and serve meals.  If you are willing and able to assist with food preparation, contact Terry Bowman @ 896-3380 or 805-8028.  Meals are needed September 15 – November 24 & January 12 – April 21, 2011

WHO:       
People in the Halifax Community & Church Who Desire To Grow In Practicing Faith. Everyone is welcome from the community. It is not expected nor required to stay for the Bible Studies. Children during meal time are to be supervised by an adult at all times.

WHERE:
Adults will be in the Sanctuary
Adult Bible Study will be in the Conference Room.
Sign up for Children Time starts at 6:20 at the Kid ’s Corner in Fellowship Hall.
Sign up for Nursery Care starts at 6:20 in the church nursery upstairs.
Sign up for Middle and High School starts at 6:20 in the Mixed Adult Sunday School Room.

CURRICULUM:
Children:   EXPLORING L.I.F.E.  “Living In Faith Everyday” :  Includes fun practical Bible lessons that develop character and confidence, interactive hands on activities that develop a community of friendship,  and opportunity to grow in a healthy spiritual  relationship with Jesus Christ.

Middle School & High School: Rock Solid Lessons on developing character, confidence and community. 

Adults Bible Study  will be in the Conference Room. 

CH_ _CH without “UR” in it makes for a boring fruitless congregation.  We want to be more fruitful hence everyone will be encouraged to be connected to source and resource of life.  This is your opportunity not only to improve your own faith but to improve the life of the church.  Will you?  Life is brief.
